I'd like to relate a funny side note - I also received a very lovely potted plant from everyone at <place where we work> which amazingly is thriving still.

However, the little card that accompanied the plant must have gotten mixed up with someone elses, because it said something like,

"Condolences on your loss" instead of "Get Well Soon"

Needless to say, rumors of my demise were greatly exagerrated, and I got a really good laugh from the mixup.

However you might want to find another flower place next time....
